If you own a forum, you will know just how important having regular content that is new and fresh each day is. With this being so important, it got me wondering how many people tend to have a set post count they make themselves as a goal for themselves that they will post each day without fail.

I am looking into setting myself a daily goal of new threads and posts I would like to make each day on my forum to ensure there is fresh content coming in each day.

Do you set yourself goals on new threads and posts on your forum or just do what you can and have time for each day?

I do not think it is a good idea since there is a difference between there are 3 threads and 10 replies that make sense or there are 10 threads and 34 replies that don't add any value to the forum. Setting goals sometimes reduces the quality of posting.

I have not posted on my forums for many weeks. Normally, I do not create posts on my forums, I encourage members to create posts. When I am starting a forum, I create some topics so that new users have something to communicate, however, once the forum starts getting members, I post only when needed.

I did in the beginning but once a forum is populated enough, I just let it fly. I don't concern myself too much with being active daily or setting an amount of things to be posted any given day.

Well, I did so when I was running a forum with Gothic theme. I am reconsidering if I should reopen it again :D
That forum was my biggest succsess.

Well, if you ask me, I'm going to ask you to reopen the forum again since it is your biggest success in terms of every other project that you have had. When you can be able to replicate the things that you were doing on the platform before, I'm very sure that you are going to still replicate the same success again.

As you can see in my signature, I decided to open "new" one with similar niche. This one is a bit broader in terms of darkish stuff but still incorporates gothic stuff. Forum is for those who love darky stuff, like horror movies, vampires, horror genre in literature, black color dressing etc etc. :werwewerewr:

I have checked the forum out. It looks good and just like you said, it's a bit more grounded in covering for a few things than just be for a specific niche. It will give room for more discussions to be carried out in the forum. I kinda like the dark arts section. There's a vibe it gives me that's so cool.

Yes, I have decided to make it a bit different than other forums. To have that little special touch. For now, there is no need for more forums because it will outstretch things and make it less unique.

Yeah, that's a very good plan, I like it and believe that it's going work out. I will likely join the forum this night or first thing tomorrow morning. You've got a new incoming member soon 😉.
