Do you set aside sections of your site just for your own ad placement?

For my blogs I use a mix of adsense and my own ads. My own ads are ads paid for by people I have worked with, or companies that sponsor me. Otherwise my ad placement goes to my adsense and I only have a few sections for adsense ads. The rest of my ads are ads to sites/services I recommend or use myself. Do you ever put more focus on ads for those who sponsor you?
