Do you save money for a trip?

Are you the kind of person that plans yourself down to the point where you have to save money for your trip? It's not going to be like dipping your hand into the money in your bank account already to finance a trip but actually saving for it over a specific period of time.

What are your thoughts on saving money for a trip?

If I have a trip planned in advance, one of the first things I do is set up a fund in which I put away a little money a week to be able to save for that trip.

I find doing this helps when it comes to needing money for a trip, it ensures that I have enough money to be able to splash out a little on the trip without worry of struggling for the rest of that month or week.
