Do you place adverts on your site?

I currently do not place any advertising on my forum.

On forums I have had in the past, I didn't have any advertisements. With this forum, I have a couple spots for advertisements. I have a little bit more money invested though. XenForo, U.IX, and our directory were not free, so I am hoping that a little bit of advertisement revenue will help with the expenses. Plus, there are some premium addons I plan on purchasing in the future.

It depends on the style and type of my website. also the care and money I put into the project. If the main goal is to make money, then yeah I put ads, but if its just a forum for fun and doesnt cost me much, then I dont bother.

I have three spots on host hunters that I sell direct ad space, and have been really successful at it.

Currently have 3 ads running, they only show for guests though.

Yes I have placed ads and they are in 3 places. Header, footer and sidebar. I started to advertise only to raise some amount to maintain the forum.
