Do you make any sites for the visibly impaired?

There are some people who are blind who can still surf the web, and I was wondering if there is anyone here who makes some sites accessible by the visibly impaired? The festival I helped with had blind developers as speakers, and it was very interesting how they were able to make games, some utilized sound. Really impressive.

With that being said, do you know anyone who makes sites for the blind? And if so, how do they work?

Well, I have never made a website for visually impaired people, I have never considered doing it. IN fact, I even don't k now how I can actually create a website that can be used easily by visually impaired people. I have never seen any websites that specifically caters to visually impared people.

I think that a website for visually impaired people may have large alphabets and words so that they could properly read the content. However, it may not look normal to a person who is not visually impaired. I may install a plugin that would dictate whatever is written on the website. Visually impaired person would be able to hear the words if he or she is not able to see it.

I have never made any kind of website for visually impaired people and I don't even have the knowledge on how to go about it. I know that visually impaired people need special kind of attention and that's why the kind of forum they can be able to use is going to be a lot of work. It's not something that I have under consideration now.
