Recently only I heard about this, a quick googling revealed me these points:

• 5 million+ search queries
• 20 million+ content page views a month

These will get you adsense premium publisher status.
The good thing about this are, you can customize the ads as you like it to blend in with your content, with CSS tweaks and all.
Also you will be able to choose the keywords for which you would like display the ads on your website!

I really don't know. After a number of googling attempts, I came to a conclusion that Google Premium Publishers is a very rare species! lol!

Really? I've known about it for a while. It's simply something extra to reward those massive sites that advertisers want to place their ads on. I doubt I could create a site that would get so many views. It would take a long long time.
