Do you know any unusual stories or legends about your city where you live?

My city was founded a long time ago. Around 1800, however, we did not have any significant events, so there are no legends at all. We used to have a lot of prisons in our city, so as far as I remember, we used to say that if a child studies in a school where there used to be a prison, the child will end up in prison

I know a lot of legends of my city. My city is named Kathmandu, which literally translates as the monument of wood. The legend has it the monument after which the city was named, was built form a single tree.
