Do you have a savings without a bank?

A lot of people say having a savings account with a bank is not really worth it anymore because you earn very little back for keeping your money there. It is safer sure but a lot of banks are filing for bankruptcy as the economy continues to go on a downward trend. I am considering having a savings at home in a safe. Do you have one?

I have a savings account in my bank. I cannot leave my money at home in cash, hence why I opened a savings account. The interest rate of the savings account isn't encouraging but I have to save money in the bank. I have a safe at home to keep emergency cash at home.
