I used to have a savings account. I'm going to reopen it back up, especially now since my spouse is no longer working and it will help us out if things get rough. I used to have my main account take funds out here and there to add to my savings account, but one time I forgot to turn that off and my main account went down to the negatives.

Savings account was the first bank account I had when I was still a teenager. The bank came to my school and taught us about the importance of saving. They gave us the opportunity to open savings account free of charge without paying any money.

I have both savings, current and fixed deposit account now.
