We need to file it every year and it's good to file as it will help us get financial assistance if we need it and is proof of our income that can be used for many things and government schemes and I am filling it out for the past 5-6 years now.

Do you file your Income-tax Return every year?

I do not do this. I am not even paying any tax at the moment so I don't need it for now

We need to pay if our income is under the taxable regimes of the state but in here they want us to file ITR even if we are not eligible to pay tax.
