When you run a website, you sometimes get pockets of traffic from all over the world. Sometimes small, sometimes big, depends on the day. Anyway, most of my sites don't get traffic outside of the US, but when they do, I take notice. I have received a decent amount of traffic from Africa, New Zealand and Australia, which I don't get why. But it's probably something relating to my many video game content, sometimes I get a decent boost in traffic because people take notice of my site and share it in other countries.

Have you ever had traffic from widely different locations than you're used to?

it has actually happened to me one certain time, then i did not understood what was happening, but later i discovered that the keyword i was using was a trending topic at that location during the time.

That's the reason something it's good to just change your ad preference to maybe something unusual. It might actually lead to getting traffic from unusual or weird location

Because of this, it's a good idea to simply alter your ad to perhaps something different.
Actually, it might result in traffic coming from strange or off-putting places.

I do not think it is easy to start getting traffic from weird location just like that, except there is something that is not of your doing that triggers it, like search results and so on

Getting traffic this way should be a good thing, right? It shows that there are people who are genuinely interested in what you do enough to search for it or recommend it to others from different parts of the world.

i do not believe that it is something that is good although on the long run, it might get a very good potential as this locations can turn to your primary location in the future

It is not something you can change except you ɗecided to block of people of some countries from visiting your website. When I just created my blog, I always check my google analytics. I always seem some people from certain countries are always on my site.

Having traffic from different parts of the world is a sign that your site is getting globally recognized and it would aid you in making decisions to make your site to a globally acceptable standard.

this is a very good place to be in, as when we build a site we always hope for the best concerning the website, and the best is if it goes global as that means we would be getting more audience.

I do not think that this has happened to me before, because as per my analytics, the countries and localities that contribute traffic to my site are quite familiar to me.

it does happen, sometimes some of the users might mistake what you just post for something that is trending on their own country, like a news that is trending on their area and go to your website.

Alright then. Getting all traffic is beneficial in every way so I would gladly accept any form of traffic, no matter what locality it comes from. However, I will try to take advantage of this additional traffic and monetize it further

all traffics are indeed beneficial, but there are some traffics that are more beneficial then the others, like traffic from high ranking countries would pay you a lot more than lower ranking countries.

You need to understand that whenever you are doing marketing for website, there is a tendency that traffics from other locations would be aware of your website and this us due to the platform you use for marketing. However, news normally goes round many location by one way or the other.

There are some locations that you won't expect that you would gain terrific traffic from and such medium will generate huge traffic your way. It could be the aftermath of some SEO activities that you have carried through which may be unnoticeable.

I have a website that gets traffic from mainland China. INterestingly, the website is on crypto niche and crypto is banned in China. It is also interesting to note that the traffic comes form Baidu search.

there must be something that is triggering such traffic from that location, and knowing it might exponentially explode your website visitors on a daily basis from such location.

It has happened to me before. That was when I was able to have fifty visitors for my website in a day. I felt very happy because that has never happened to me before and it was able to motivate me

It is very possible to generate traffic from specific locations and this is inevitable which is why you must ensure that you understand how to drive traffic to the required and relevant locations through the use of SEO.
