I know on certain social platforms, they will censor you to where your post is not widely shown to the general public. Alternatively, some forum owners decide to just censor works on the back end so for example the word "racecar" would show like this "*******" or like this "r***c**". I know some people have also changed the words to make the censoring funny. A forum I was on changed the f work for "fork".

I do not censor any words because my forums are on family friendly niches and I believe no one would be rude to use curse words, or profanity. However, I have banned certain words for usernames, for instance, people cannot create username with words like admin, moderator, bot, robot, etc.
