Do you buy backlinks for your website?

Do you, or have you, ever bought x amount of backlinks for your website from an online seller? either on a marketplace website, forum or where ever? I used to buy backlinks for my old websites when i had them, but now i just look at most of them thinking its not worth it or they aren't genuine. optimization

Buying backlinks are forbidden by Google and possibly other search engines also. The assumption is that a buyer is trying to game SEO. However, though, the rules aren't set in stone - as obviously a lot of approved directory links are paid. Anyway, the Google stuff is only in reference to do-follow links.

People selling backlinks and claiming everything is going to be alright are outright scammers. Never buy backlinks for your site. Manually find and create high-quality backlinks yourself in the relevant niche.
