Do you allow kids to take candy or do you hand it out? - Halloween

If you celebrate Halloween, do you pass out candy? If so, what is your method of giving candy to trick or treaters? For my house we usually just hand some candy over to them and that's that. But we've considered putting candy in a bull outside with a sign saying "Take Two" or something. I know doing that is a risk, because some kids are greedy and like to take a ton of candy.

The good thing for me, is we barely get any kids coming by where I live, so we probably will have a lot of candy left over.

Most of the time, I usually hand over the candies to all the kids that comes over to my house and I do get a lot of them. I think that I'm going to look into making use of your suggestion because it's going to take away a lot of work from me in handing out the candies. I will just check whenever the one's in the bull outside have finished for me to top up.
