Do think joining other's forums helps your own course?

As a forum owner, have you ever felt at one point that you need to join several other forums of different owners in order to stand a chance of getting more members joining your own community? There's a big possibility the forum owner whom you joined his own forum would reciprocate and join yours but there's no guarantee his members would do the same.

I own multiple forums and I am also using multiple forums. Joining other forums has helped me to run my own forums. I frequently engage with post exchange through other forums, I also buy posting package, and also hire staff for my forums through other forums. I also use the marketplace sections of other forums to buy and sell products and services.

My mentor will always tell you that a tree doesn't make a forest which is why you have to contribute to other people's community in order for you to gain something in return. I believe that have been one of the easiest way most community start or uses to grow.

As long as you are contributing in the growth of other forum owners, they will always do the same thing when it comes to returning the favour which is a win-win situation for everyone and is going to get members to to do the same thing by being interested in joining both of your forums.

Some forums have rules against promotion of any kind, even within your bio or signature. As well, you can't outright post about your site in the forums, as most forums don't have sections to advertise/promote.

Your best bet is to reach out to site/forum owners and ask for their permission to make a post, add a link to your signature, etc. Also read the rules to each forum you join. You'd think most would be the same, but that's not always the case. Read them rules.

I usually find it very awkward whenever a particular forum world have a rule against allowing the use of signature to promote another forum owners platform because I believe that forums should do more to help each other grow and not trying to stampede their growth and enable what is happening on social media.
