When you hire on or bring in a new moderator, do you have one of your old mods come in to train them in the proper ways of moderation? Or do you usually tackle that training?

I do not hire a lot of moderators, in my I do not even have any moderators on my current communities. However, I have worked as a moderator on multiple sites, and some sites have moderator training programs and al new moderators have to under go this training. On some sites, old moderators are responsible for training new moderators.

It is important to have a moderator train another moderator when you are running a big forum. If the size of the forum is not huge, then doing the training, as the owner, should come into play.
