As a freelancer, if you are relying solely on freelancing platforms or paying clients for income, you might face difficulties when people stop hiring you, or you are unable to work because or sickness. Imagine a situation when you are hospitalized for a month, you will have zero income if you are too depended on active work for income. Therefore, you will have to develop alternative income sources:
Utilize free time to create and sell personal products related to your niche. For instance, if you are a writer, create a blog or ebook. If you are a video editor, create a video editing course or start youtube channel.
Develop multiple products and build a business around them.For instance, if you are a graphic designer, you can create a merch business.
