Has anyone used digg for marketing? I.e. submitting their articles to it? I found a forum article that way- a couple of people had joined because of it and made replies....

I used to submit my articles to N4G, something similar to DIGG but for gaming articles, got a few visits, once my article was in the top 3 on the site,

Not a lot of people use Digg though. At least, not those in the video game niche.

I always submit my posts here, and it actually makes a difference. There was a time I neglected posting here, and my stats were stagnant. After regularly posting there, I managed to get more visitors.

I think you'd have better luck in working with Reddit; niche subreddits all over the place and most are heavily trafficked.

Just don't come off as spammy, you'll get your ass handed to you.
