Did your parents ever forbid you from engaging in video games with guns?

My brother was consistently prohibited from playing these kinds of games, but I avoided them because I had more important things to do. He was consequently compelled to either play another game or refrain from playing any computer games at all.

My father did not like us playing games, he always though games were too violent, instead of games, he encouraged us to read and brought a lot of books. I played games behind his back

I was never forbidden to play video games per se, but I was forbidden to play games that were too violent when I was little, for example, GTA games, but I still got them and played them secretly hahaha.
