Did you find it easy to decide on a niche for your forum?

When it comes to creating a forum, it can sometimes be difficult to decide what niche you want to go for, especially if you want a forum that talks about more than one thing. This can often leave you spending a lot of time jotting ideas down and trying to decide on the best niche.

I know before I finally decided to create my general discussion forum, I spent a chunk of time deciding if i wanted to focus on everything or just a few things. In the end I knew I wanted to focus on as much as I could such as general chat, music, movies, TV, gaming and that lead me to decide that a general chat niche was best for me.

Did you find it easy to decide on a niche for your forum or did it take some time?

Not at all. I'm good at coding and offering support in subjects I'm knowledgeable in, so deciding to create a resource forum was an easy decision to make.

It's always important to go with a forum niche that you have passion for and very knowledgeable in. It's the only way you won't give up on the project when the journey gets tough and very challenging.
