Crowdfunding to help with medical costs

Here in the US, some people need to use crowdfunding to help them with their medical costs. I don't think it's right that so many people suffer because of the cost of medical care. I don't know what it's like in your country, but here in the US health care isn't great. Have you ever donated towards someone's health because health care wouldn't do it?
