Creating a Forum on Wordpress

You can create a forum on wordpress using forum plugins. There are numerous forum plugins that you can use for free on wordpress. What do you think about forums built on wordpress?

Never tried it myself, in fact, I haven't ever really used WordPress. Though, it just seems to be a service originally intended for blogging that wouldn't give as good of results as forum software itself.

This is very interesting and it's not something I thought you could do on WordPress if I am honest, but it does have me very intrigued. I have always in the past when creating or building up any kind of forum always used either MyBB or Xenforo depending on if I have the funds for a license or whether I feel paying for forum software at the time would be feasible.
I do have a blog myself that I have recently started up and I am curious to see how a forum will work for that. Going to definitely have a look into this.
