Could health insurance be better?

If you could have it be based on your own needs, what would you add & subtract to your plan? I'd add in for us to cover more alternative modalities as that's what we use the most but they are also not covered by insurance unfortunately.

I am of the opinion that it is not supposed to be a one size fits all approach. There are certain health issues that should mean that a different package is set up for the person. What they are paying as insurance fee should be different too especially when it is confirmed that the insurance company is going to cover a higher cost for their treatment.

Health insurance could improve by reducing costs and increasing coverage. For example, lowering premiums and copayments would make care more affordable. Expanding coverage to include mental health and preventive services ensures comprehensive care. Streamlining claims processes and enhancing transparency can reduce patient stress. Implementing value-based care models focuses on patient outcomes, potentially lowering overall healthcare expenses.

I only know so much about health insurance in other countries but in the UK, we have the NHS and as much as that does struggle, it works and works well. Private health insurance in the UK is a choice and from those who have used it, they have a lot of great things to say about it.

In the US, I would have to say from what I have heard, the one thing that could be made better in terms of health care is making it more affordable for all.
