One of the interesting ways to improve activities on your forums is by running contest. You can run referral contest or posting contest to bring in members and activities. Have you used this method? Well, I have not because I do not think this is a sustainable method for activities and userbase. Once your contest stops, they also stop

I contest can gather great impact in boosting engagement. It's true that sustainability can be a concern, but combining contests with other strategies could help maintain long-term activity.
