When you want to create a website, you have three options:
Use Content Management System like wordpress, drupal, joomla, xenforo, etc.
Create websites through website builders like wix, weebly, squarespace, etc.
Build your own website from scratch.
We will not talk about the third option as it will involve programing skills, however, the first and second steps are easier. and can be done without any advance skills The first option, using content management system, is completely free (well there are also premium content management systems, but the top content management systems are free) You don't need coding skills. Everything is there, all you have to do is customize yout sites, with themes, plugins, and widgets.
The second option, creating websites through website builders, is also a great way to launch websites. You don't need any skills and you can build an amazing website with few clicks. However, you will have to pay to use these website builders, which can cost you $3-$4 per month. You also have an option to use website builders for free, but you will have to use a subdomain and you have limited option for monetization.
My favorite is using free content management systems. My favorite is Wordpress.

I would not choose any one over another. Content management and website builder all have their respective roles to play in the online field.

Notwithstanding, website builder comes first before content management. You can not manage what you have not created. Therefore, website must be built. With quality app and skills. When this is acquired, you can now devote your time in content management with improve the website and attract traffic.

Welll, I am not talking about content management in general, I am talking about content management systems used to build websites. If you are using content management system, there is no need to use website builders as content management systems have it all. You can customize your site through themes, plugins ad templates. While CMS like drupal, joomla, might be difficult to use without coding skills, wordpress is easy.

Initially when I started my web design journey, I started with code writing using notepad ( I will have to write all the HTML tags and then read how it is been used, then run it with my web browser. But after a while I was introduced to content management system specifically WordPress, life easier with WordPress, just customize your site no need if code... I think all this contents management system are the best

When I was introduced to web design then many years ago , I was taught with notepad too ,you have create extensions yourself and whatnot. Then suddenly I started seeing people with no knowledge create websites so easily. There are web template you can buy online easily and you just pay for the domain, easier to have a website now than it was years ago.

This is a good fundamental tutorial from you. I think the best way to do this as a newbie is to use content management system because you will be able to download some plugin to use instead of doing all the job with programming languages and all that.

I think I will prefer content management systems like WordPress because of its flexible and broader usage. You can use it to create almost any website without having a programming skill. You can also boost its features by installing plugins. Website creators are just simple and rigid. It's good for creating a two page website or less.

Website builder can be good to those who wants to create stunning website without any coding or website designing skills. Content Management System is good for those who want to work on their own designs. If you are using free CMS, it can be really cheap to create websites. Website builders are costly.

CMS are preferable to me. They are user friendly and relatively easy to understand as they are self-explanatory. So, you can decide to use it to make your own changes and innovations. Many users also say that the basic operations are easy to master.

I had a short stint in using Dreamweaver for our bank's website where I created the draft design. I'd say Dreamweaver is a good software for beginners because it is easy to understand and the functions are simple but effective. However, I don't know if the latest version of Dreamweaver is still easy to use. When I learned Adobe Photoshop it was already difficult and now it is harder because of the added functions. But I believe that Dreamweaver is more flexible than Wordpress.

When you use website builders you do not have to deal with hosting issues, your website will go live the moment your payment is cleared. For the first year, you get domain for free, but for the second year, you have to pay. However, when you want to use content management system to build your website, you have to buy domain and hosting.

Ok I understand all the process. Thanks for the confirmation. Actually I'm thinking to start Blogging but I don't know how to take start of it. Although we have google blogger website which allows us to write our content for free, but someone told me that we need buy a domain there. Can You Give me more details please.

I don't think I need website builder because of the monthly fee I have to pay them beside Houston which I am also paying for every month. Content management software is ok for me. The reason is that there are some teams available for CMS which will allow me to design my block in the way I want it. CMS also lot of plugins that work with them to make the website to run efficiently.

If you are using website builders like wix or weebly, you end up paying a lot of money just to run a single site while the same amount can be used to host a lot of websites when you choose to host with web hosting companies.

I have tested a lot of website builders like weebly and wix. I even ran websites built on these website builders for some time but I gave up because free version does not offer rooms for monetization.

I think the use of content management system is actually a good way to monetize your website, application like xenforo, Wix, blogger and WordPress are good ways to monetize your website.

When you are using website builders you do not have control over your website files, however, when you have content management system, you have full control over your website files.

I am always in a favor of using content management system but I suggest you try website builders if money is not an issue and you do not have time to manage hosting
