Competition Prizes

What do you like to see from competitions as prizes? Do you like to see things like domains and hosting, or would you rather see something like a forum software license?

I personally would rather a domain and hosting, mainly because the competition is likely to be much less insane, and you wouldn't have to get that mad/depressed if you lose :3

Money would have to be the best in my opinion, nothing beats some money to go out on the town and get trashed.

I suppose it is related to the niche your site is trying to aim for. Like here, we choose to do money + a webmaster related prize to get the best of both for our members because who doesn't love money but because the majority of people on this site run their own site, why not include something else they could benefit from as well?

It's a good route to go.

I prefer the cash prizes, but everyone jumps on that and freaks out. If it is a webmaster forum I like the domain/hosting/license prizes but usually the almighty dollar triumphs all.

I like the money idea as a competition prize but I also offer members other special prizes like new colored names, or gift cards redeem codes, or other effects that I might do
