Can you rent a portion of the apartment?

Since few individuals in my nation can afford to rent a full apartment due to poverty, this kind of rental is fairly popular. The owners are aware of this, so they split the flat into two sections and rent it out to multiple tenants right away. Although I wouldn't want to cross paths with strangers in the same room, I would be more than happy to pay more.

In the US, they do this with houses a lot. In fact, boarding houses are the new apartments. Anyway, though, I haven't seen this situation with apartments. However, I' sure it's a thing in places like New York City. It's gotta be.

In our country, if you cannot afford to rent the entire apartment, you can always rent individual rooms, you can even rent single room and use it for bed doom, kitchen as well as sitting room
