Can emotional intelligence play a role in business?

There are many people who may be really intelligent. However, there are many people who posses emotional intelligence as well. Emotional intelligence can play a crucial role in life, so do you think that it could possible play a role in business as well?

Maybe, I mean your emotions can help with your learning and all that, but I don't think it will help having emotional intelligence for a business. I'd rather have intelligence period. I suppose if you're emotional all the time, that could have a bad affect on your job.
