Bumping Threads

Do you let people bump threads? If you do, how often do you let them do it? I usually let them bump it every 24 hours because it gives other people the time to their showcase their thread. It also means their thread won't be lost and can easily find it again the next day to bump it. I've seen some forums do it to 48 hours, but that's a bit too long IMO.

I agree with what everyone has said in this topic. 24 is the minimum I would give before bumping an advertising topic, I would say anywhere between 24-48 hours is reasonable. I don't like bump old topics though which have been created a few years ago.

Minimum of 24 hours between bumps at least. That is for both bumping by replying and also by using a "Bump Thread" button.

I've seen some forums have 12, 24, or 48 hour time limits for bumping their showcase threads. I think that the 24 hour limit is the best way to go when it comes to bumping showcase threads. It's not too long, or too short either. In fact, it's just right.
