Bossy Admins?

Have you ever been staff on a forum where the Admin was really bossy? I encountered it on a huge forum and the top dogs there were so full of their power and let everyone know that they would wield it at any time. It was unbearable and for years I never noticed it until it happened to a friend of mine on staff. I stuck up for him and I got fired. Never looked back after that.

Yes, there have been a few times when the admins went power-tripping. The forum I recall it the best on was InvisionFree Skin Zone at the time.

Yes I have. It was one of the very first forums I ever joined and in the beginning it seemed like a very laid back forum and I felt comfortable posting there for the longest time up until the true colors of the staff started to show. It would get to the point where you would have your own opinion and if they did not agree with your opinion they would delete your post and let you know in a PM. It got to the point where if you fired back at the mods they would run to the admin and he would take their side and suspend you or even ban you forever. It really did become a forum of if I don't agree with your opinion you are wrong. I soon cut ties with the forum and the forum is no longer around now.

I have definitely been on a few where the admin was on a power trip. They didn't get their way - they banned people. It's frustrating and it's difficult to see communities like this go to waste because people struggle with having to be in such control that it doesn't allow for members to be active on their community.
