It is true that central banks are usually more focused on long term gains of monetary policies and decisions, but it depends on who is making the decisions. Sometimes, even the governors of the Central Banks can get influenced to make poor decisions.

My point exactly, these banks rarely operate of their own will as they're still subjected to the biddings of the host nation - they're always protecting the interests of their nations. It'll be difficult to act independently.
