So many people are ingrates. They have entitlement mentality and are never grateful for any good thing you have done to them.

How do you relate with these kind of people?

It is due to the stress of the work or previous bad experience with some people that let them generalize this rule for many people they meet so it is not good to generalize because you meet someone bad in the life for all people like this.

I always monitor how grateful that people are and would do anything to see that those who are grateful for the things that I do for them get more help in the future. I can't deal with ingrates and will, most of the time, cut them off from my life.

Sometimes to take such decision you have to give a person one chance and if he is not on the measures you have expected then you cut it from your life because time is money and not to give chances again and again despite he is not grateful.

You need to master the situation because some people are for example shy to make decisions and also could continue a relationship with such kinds of people however this is not a true decision.

Something similar happens in toxic relationships as well where no matter how much one mistreats their partner, the partner doesn't leave them and go. Sometimes it's because of love, sometimes it's because of being too kind. There might be hundred more reasons as well.

This is the reason why I find it very difficult to just be doing favour to people who doesn't deserve it. Most of the time those people you help out will never appreciate what you have done for them. Rather, they will be feeling entitled and they will never do something for you even if you are begging them for it.

People could devalorize the time and effort given and dedicated to help them as they do not estimate the effort that you have provided to them and also think it is not a favor but a must to help them.

It is just like when you lend money to some of your friends and when it's time for them to pay back the money, they will now be acting as if you are trying to force them to give you money for free. This is your money you give them out of trust because of your friendship but when it's time for them to pay you back the money, it will start to turn into a very serious problem between both of you.

If it is a question of money then sometimes it could be something that destroys relationships but if you know that the person is really in a hard money situation and unable to pay back the loan then things could differ like extending the duration of getting the loan back. There is a difference between someone who tries to pay back a loan small by small for example you give a loan of 10000 Neira and get 5000 neira per month so you get 2500 neira per month for 4 months if the person is trying to pay back but economic situation let him earn less than before but if he refuses to pay money then other methods should be taken in consideration to get money back (example).

Imagine in a situation whereby after lending them money and when it's time to pay it back, they will stop picking your calls or replying your text messages. How then will you know that the person is having financial difficulties to pay you back the money they owe?

If the person explains the situation then a hole scenario could be avoided like for example the person is giving back two checks for the money that you lend it then one in 5th of November and one in 5th of December but he owns now half of amount of money then he could tell me to not give check to bank and pay part of money and give check for next month. If he closes phone number then I will deposit two checks on bank account and then juridication will take its place.

A lot of people do things out of the goodness of their heart and it's just for them to help others out in their difficult situation but is very unfortunate that those people who have received help from others will always find it difficult to stay true to their words. Some human beings are just so annoying.

I'm a very grateful individual. I appreciate everything which is given to to me by another person even if it's small, the gift will mean a lot to me. Life gives us so much to be happy and grateful for in the midst of all the bad which is happening.

Whenever I noticed that someone is the kind of person that doesn't appreciate whatever that I have done for him or her, I wouldn't really bother much about it because what it is going to do is not having me put myself in a position where I am going to do anything for that person again no matter the excuse the person comes up with.
