Balancing forum and school/job?

What do you do to your forum to keep it going and active while you're either busy with school or work or possibly on holiday for or a week or two?

Well considering I don't run a forum, my school life takes precedence over my online life; well most of the time.. although school sucks the big one.

There are a few things you can do such as find staff in different time zones since they will be home when you are in school/job and vice-verse, hire staff if you have enough funds, or find active people and promote them to staff so they can continue to be active, and moderate the place while you are gone.

This is one thing I am trying hard to balance at the current time. As I speak I have a plethora of things to do before I can even contemplate getting started on new things for WGBB but as for what I do in such times, I don't have to do much as I trust xpl0iter and my staff to do the job well.
