  1. If you see a robbery going on or a car accident, call the police, this may seem obvious because many believe someone else will do it.
  2. (Well honestly I knew this one before) Don't right click for spelling correction, delete the entire word and re-type it. Doing these you're training your brain to spell words correctly the first time.
  3. Put a tape on the cables of expensive stuff, maybe electronics e.g your headphones or something else so it'll look badly repaired and less likely to get stolen.
  4. Turn on your lights at inclement weather conditions, it's not for you to be able to see but for other vehicle drivers Can see you
  5. When opening a large box containing something heavy e.g TV, get it out by opening the bottom then lifting the box out from the top.
  6. When drafting an email, don't add contacts till you're satisfied with the content of the email. (For if its a business email and you mistakenly press send that's a huge problem)

#1 and 2 are priceless.
And #1 reminds me of last month when we had a power outage and nobody called DTE because we all assumed somebody else had already done it. So basically we were all just sitting around thinking 🤔 what’s taking so long.
Until my dad finally called to see if they’d give us a “timeframe” as to when we’d get the power back and the lady on the phone wasn’t even aware there was a power outage down our street. Because nobody called. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 Nice.

Clearly stated and it's comprehensive enough for digestion. I am an advocate for training ones brain very well and also, never right click words when you are typing, this will enhance your brain and it will make it family with spelling. When you add contact when writing email, you may mistakingly press the send button.

The rubbery aspect or accident aspect of the hack really got me thinking indeed. just make that call instead of thinking someone willake the call when actually nobody might

Thank you very much for sharing your list of life skills. Obviously your number one in the list should really be remembered and to be acted upon when there is robbery or car accident happening, you call the police. The only problem here is if you don't have a telephone number of the police station.

Hahaha this is totally funny, I guess that's a pretty good lesson for next time.
I had the same experience I guess that's why I included that.
Mine lasted for 2 days because everyone assumed someone else would call. We waited and waited and waited till I got tired because my mobile phone couldn't wait anymore. I had to disturb my mom to find out what's going on, eventually when she did. The person wasn't even aware which means no one called. 😅

Yeah you're welcome, I had a pretty good reason to share the number one. I've had experience with it.

I think that number two is very important because it will also be quite beneficial to the members of this platform as well especially if you are trying to increase the speed with which you can make comments and create topics as well. Generally what I tend to do is that I tried to make use of the correct spelling the first time around in order to try and avoid the use of spell checking tools. I feel that if you start off a lot slower it'll actually allow you to increase your speed with time.

That experience of yours will make a lot of people who have read this piece to start taking action and not to wait for people's own actions anymore as no one knows who will put that call out

LoL number one got me though. In such situations, we tend to think the next person has made the move, while the other person might feel you have made the move. It's better to have multiple calls than none at all.

You don't need # for cops.

These are good tips. But seriously what kind of &%$ole would leave the scene of an accident if they're involved. Unless you mean if you just see it. Usually cops and emts are on it.
Good list though. Rules to live by indeed.

I want to commend you for bringing your life hack here for others to benefit from. For me I think number one is really priceless just as someone already stated above, because if you wait for another person to call the police when you can, then the robbers will do more havoc. I also like number six too. Thanks for sharing.
