If you have attended Marketing and Advertising Courses and if you have certificates, you are a certified marketer. When you have a certification, it will help you establish credibility and allowing you to convince your potential clients. Let’s say, you are a social media marketer, how would you convince your clients if you do not have any kind of certifications. Therefore, you should consider obtaining certifications in marketing and advertising. There are a lot of platforms where you can get Marketing and Advertising Certification Courses, for example, LinkedIn Learning, Google, Hubspot, Coursera, Khan Academy, Udemy etc. These platforms offer a variety of courses on marketing niches that can enhance your skills and credibility as a marketer.

I have read books on marketing and understood most of the techniques that I can apply in my offline business. However, I have not gotten certified for it, and while I have some marketing experience, I can't boast of having a certificate to back it up.

The only books that I read on marketing were the one's I read when I was in the university. I studied Mass Communication, so we had some marketing courses treated. I think I read about 4 text books and 6 handouts on marketing and sales strategies.

I can't consider university books giving you the deep analysis of what marketing is all about since some of them are outdated and don't even give you a better understanding of recent trends in the market.

Agreed! What those courses was ever able to do for me during the time I was in the university was to give me basic knowledge about marketing and how things are done in that sector but not really all the knowledge that I need to get about it. This is because when it comes to become a successful in the field of marketing, you have to be practically involved with it.
