Let's be honest, without packages and exchanges, where would your new forums be? Exchanges are awesome, too. So with that, are exchanges the new lifesaver for new forums?

Definately. Exchanges literally are the lifeline of your forum when you start it at first

Without a doubt. Let's face it, forums are dieing. They have no activity and your role as a forum owner is to keep them alive in what ever means possible. I'm glad forum exchanges and posting packages are available because advertising is hard. Majority of people use social media now, that explains why forums are inactive.

Yeah they can really help start up forums get content on their site to get them started. :p I can such you into the trap of thinking your forum is more active than it is tho. If you do alot of exchanges and buy alot of post packages, then your forum will be busy, but if you stop doing exchanges and packages, your forum will stop being active and your back to square one. So i do think packages and exchanges are good at the start and from time to time, but you dont want a forum that relies on them. :p

There are a great number of forum owners that use exchanges to help their forums along in their beginning stages. They also use them later on when they need to get activity picked back up during slow periods and to draw in new members too. There is always a need for exchanges and they can most definitely help give forums another chance to continue on.
