Are any of the free site services worth using anymore?

Back in the day, it was easy to get a free website with your own (kinda) domain. Back then you could even get your own domain for these free sites.

These days, free site services aren't great. There's minimal support and there's not much you can do with them. But, are there any free site services still out there that are worth using?

Well, actually looking on the web, nowadays it turns out also to me something almost impossible to find a completely free domain.
However there are some sites where they offer a trial web domain but for just one year. After that we will have to decide whether to continue but paying, or to abandon. Obviously then there will certainly also be constraints to be respected.

Actually I don't really believe free websites do exist to me if I want to invest or even make a post aimed for income I can never patronize the free websites because I will definitely think it is scamming so far the were designed for income purposes.

Well, I'll say some of them still worth it. The fact that it's free does not make it useless. In other words, there are many free online site that are useless, they're just a waste of time working on it.

It is hard to come back free web hosting this days. And if finally you come by one, you will be frustrated to leave because it will just be a time water to you. So the best thing is just to use money

To have your own website you would need a budget. I do not go for the free websites that you can create your own with their free hosting. It was full of ads and the access speed is crawling. A friend who availed of the free use of website by a UK company didn't last a month because the website he created was very slow and he got irked by the snail pace access due to lots of ads.

There are still free services online, in fact, WordPress is a perfect example. One can imagine WordPress offering such a great avenue for people to create a website for free. There are also many of those websites like which offer people many free giveaway and opportunities.

You can for example have free service but buy advertisement from support. [Some sites are providing internal advertisement for payment]
Or you pay for removal of hoster ad. [Hoster is purposing removal of ads for 2 $ per month for example].
Or you pay for having a paid template for 15 $ as there are premium template.
Or you pay for SSL certificate and opt out from HTTP.
So even in free hosting there are paid option there is not only domain name hosting or hosting plan.

You need hosting and domain to make it come Live no matter the kind of website you're creating, evennif you're using a free hosting services to create it.

You can still get domain and hosting for free and can create your site free. You can also try website builders and create a free site. However, the main question is whether your website can grow or not.

These days, because they want you to go for the paid one, they tend to make the free ones less attractive by limiting it in so many ways by not having most features a paid one would have.

I do not understand what the OP means by back in the day. I think you can still try for free domain and free hosting. It all depends on your own priorities.

It depends on the kind of website that you want to create. If it is only for blog. I would advise you use blogspot by google. But if you want it for other means apart from blog then 000webost is the best
