Anyone here a metallurgy expert?

I signed up for a metallurgy science course because I need some extra qualification but I honestly don't understand most of what is being discussed in my class. Fortunately, all we need to do is write a 3-page paper at the end of the course and pass with at least a C. I know I made a mistake but I thought I hit the jackpot when I found a class whose only requirement was to write 3 pages...
