Any new lucrative niches worth making a site for?

It's hard to catch up to the new trends sometimes. And that means you miss out on some of those trends. Are there any new lucrative niches worth making sites for right now? Are there any that need to be tapped into asap to make a profit? If so, which ones are they? Do you know of any good ones?

I think tapping into micro niches on any topic can be profitable. For example, instead of a pet site, you can create a site dedicated to "dogs" or more specifically site dedicated to specific dog breed. Niche site might not get tons of traffic but you have high chances of ranking on searches.
