I hate Intuit with a passion. Quickbook Desktop was great software, but these greedy bastards forced everyone to their cloud service so they can collect monthly subscription fees. The dirty move meant instead of spending $200 every 3 years on accounting software, now I have to pay a minimum of $35/mo (and most people pay $85/mo) for their online solution, which is complete garbage. It doesn't even hold a candle to what the former Desktop software could do.
Unfortunately, this moving everything to the cloud and turning it into a SAAS is trending and it's isn't going away.
Quickbooks Online tries to force several things also, to the point where I am considering leaving them and starting something new, from scratch. I was curious if any one else use cloud accounting services and what you might be using as an alternative to Quickbooks.
