Hi all,
I've had some issues today with an order I placed with AliExpress. This is the first time I've had any sort of issue with AliExpress having placed around 10 orders without issue before, so I was wondering if anybody else had experienced something similar, or any other issues with Ali.
So essentially, I placed an order for several items with a total order value of £54.54. I entered a discount code, which reduced the price of my shopping cart to £45.26. I went ahead and selected my payment method, continued onto the checkout screen, where the "total due" was confirmed as £45.26. I entered my card security code and clicked to confirm the payment, and was debited £54.54.
So of course, I go onto AliExpress Live Chat and begin a chat. I'm told initially that the order value was £54.54 and was never lowered, which is clearly not true. Then I'm told that the order is now displaying an error on their end. I ask them to either refund the difference between the price shown and the price I was charged, or cancel the order and issue a full refund. They tell me they can't do either of these, so I ask them to escalate the issue to senior management. Several times throughout the day I've now received emails, some say that I have an update on a dispute, but when I click through I get told the dispute is no longer available and there's no more information. I've had some emails to say that a refund process was initiated on some items, and I've had some emails to say some items have been shipped.
Exasperated, I finally went to Live Chat one more time and requested immediate contact from a supervisor. We're now six hours on from this request and I haven't even had an email back, despite assurances it was being escalated for the second time. Maybe I'm being unreasonable about my expectations for a reply time, but given they're a company that offers a 24/7 Live Chat service, it seems strange that it has taken over 24 hours in total now for anyone with any sort of power to do anything to even acknowledge my request for help.
Has anybody experienced any similar issues with AliExpress?
