We often encounter fraudulent sites/apps disguised as airdrops, so we as crypto users must also be vigilant and be able to anticipate so as not to fall into their traps. Here are some crypto airdrop frauds that often occur as follows:
1. Data Theft
Theft of data such as email, password, private key, etc. can be done in various ways, such as asking users to open links, using Dust Attacks containing malware, etc.
2. Asking for Private Key
With various methods and reasons, airdrop fraudsters will ask for private keys directly, so they can easily steal your crypto.
3. Referral Fraud
Often airdrop fraudsters ask participants to join referral programs for the benefit of the fraudsters.
4. Deposit Toncoin for Blockchain Fees
I often find this case in airdrop mini apps on Telegram channels, where participants are asked to transfer a number of Toncoins for various reasons.
This is just an airdrop fraud that I know of and of course there are many other types of airdrop fraud.
