Affiliate?

Do you have some type of affiliate banner or affiliate page on your site where you exchange affiliate buttons with others so that you can advertise on each others site? Do you think that this works as far as helping your site grow and gain new members? Why or why not?

I've never tried this before as I don't think it would help too much. It's just like an advertisement, only a select few people want to click on a flashy ad.

It would have to have a very good design if I were to do something like that.
