Search engine optimization is that practice every site should effect to enable smooth running and visibility of the site.

Onpage-SEO - involve optimising your site element, modifying stuff like contents, meta tag, url structures, heading structure, keyword usage, site linking and so in and so forth.

Off-page SEO - on the other hand deals with backlink building, social media presence, boosting site through guest blogging et cetera and et cetera.

There is no way one should dump or do away with any of these. You need need to accept and practice them in your site.

My keynote is if targeting organic search ranking, on-page need to be highly treated. Then if targeting online visibility and branding, off-page should not be joked withm
