Facebook is one of the easiest platforms to run an ad campaign. Create a Facebook Page and add relevant information about your product or service. Share a post (video, link, graphics, etc.). Just under your post, you will see “Boost.”Click that button and you will be redirected to advertising page, target your audience and provide necessary details including payment details. Your ad will be live in less than 20 minutes. Running an ad on Facebook is as simple as this.

Facebook is also one of the best platforms to run an ad campaign. Advertising rate is comparatively cheap and Facebook has 3 billion monthly active users, which means it has a huge audience.

Have you tried running ads on Facebook?

Not me particularly but I have a friend who regularly does this. It helped him to boost his follower count and and engagements. Really, when you look at the benefits it can bring, the amount you spend is not wasted.

I haven't tried doing this myself, makes me wonder if it's worth doing it. At most you might get some extra traffic, but will you get actual members joining? I can see it benefiting a blog more than a forum, but that's just me.

You might not get a lot of traffic by advertising on Facebook because in my experience not many people are interested in clicking links on ads. However, if you advertise to build your followers, you might get a lot of followers and when you have a lot of followers, you can easily market and promote for free.
