Writing is one of the high demand skills online. That’s because websites are proliferating online and all sorts of websites need content writers. From product descriptions on an online store to short posts on online communities to writers for content sites, writers have jobs to fulfill.

Here are some high-paying jobs that writers can dive into:

Translation: If you're multilingual, translation is a golden opportunity, you can easily earn 10 cents per word on average

Editing/Proofreading: Do you have mastery over language and grammar gurus, this one's for you.

Copywriting: Writing copies for ads and sales pitches can bring you a lot of money.

Article writing: There is an endless demand for skilled writers.

Ghostwriters: A lot of people do not have time or skills to write, therefore, they hire people to write for them. This is also a highly paid job.

These are just a few examples. By the way, what is your favorite way to earn as a writer?

I prefer to post on forums, as well as commenting on blog posts. I do own a blog based around Sonic the Hedgehog and since it's a subject I'm very familiar with and something I am passionate about, writing articles based around the Sonic franchise comes natural to me. If a subject interests me, I could possibly start writing articles for other people, though I've never done this. I have written reviews for Forum Promotion in the past though, I was on their review team in the mid 10's.

I started with writing for blogs. It was almost 2 decades ago. Now I prefer copywriting for social media posts. I enjoy using the right words and style for impactful social media posts. I believe I am good at it now.

Do you find there is an ideal blog length, like 1500?
If you want to rank your blog posts, you need to write long articles. We could debate on how long a blog post should be but based on the content appearing on top position on SERP, I believe 1200-2500 should be the ideal length for a blog post. But of course, blog post should have value.

Yeah, it's better with longer articles with good information that's of high quality. It's not because you want your article to be long that's going to have you fill the contents in the articles with trash to make it 1500 words or more. It won't get you the results that you're after.

True indeed. Publishing long blog posts does not mean you ad unnecessary words and sentences to make it long, your posts should have all necessary information on the topic you are writing. Your post needs to be well written, original, and optimized with primary and secondary keywords. Your blog posts should be divided into sections to make it an easy read.

The skill of writing isn't something you can do without care! Once things are not set in the right manner, it's always going to reflect on impact it's going have. A dully optimized blog article with unique keywords will do better than one's that are carelessly done and published.

Depends on what you are targeting. I prefer blogs that people read. Too long is often skipped.

"Too long" is the word! They tend to bore readers most of the time. It's why whenever you're interested in writing your blog article to be too long, you must make sure to put in good efforts in how its segmenting is done in order to make it easier for people to read, otherwise they will just skip it and walk away.

One thing with blog posting is that one needs to be sure of what they are planning to achieve, and this involves making proper research about the subject matter. When you do extensive research, you won't have the need to make blog posts that lack the needed information.

My favourite ways to make money as a writer at the moment have been article writing and forum posting.

I have dabbled in transcription in the past which I enjoyed as well and given the chance, would love more work around that.

Getting ghostwriting contracts can be challenging but if you managed to get a ghostwriting job you can easily make $100-$200 form a single contract.

I had heard about e-book writing but ghost writing is new to me. E-book writing I have looked into but have not jumped in to as of yet.

You can either write and publish your ebook in your own name or write ebooks for other people and let them use their own name. With thew first option, you make money by selling ebooks, and with the second option, you make upfront. How much you can earn through ghostwriting depends on how much you can pull from the client. I have written an ebook for $30 as well as $600.
