I am thinking about creating an Amazon like website in my home country. eCommerce is still in the initial phase in my home country and I want to built a big online store.

I dream about creating a website that I will be using as my online resume. If I manage to get some free time, I will also use it as a blogging platform as well as selling platform.

You have a great idea. I first built a blog. Months later I though should have my portfolio website. That's how I started my portfolio website, however, maintaining two different websites of same purpose was nuisance.

Definitivelly yes as if you have one blog then you will feed up and advertise well than having two blogs or three blogs but it can only good if for example you have a PTC site and a traffic exchange site so the concept and principe are quite different. So if you have two blogs you have to blog twice so in the day if first blog is about digital arts and second blog is about football so you have to search about good content of digital arts and also good content of football so doubling your effort.

You need to update your website with fresh contents, however, this does not mean you need 1-2 articles every week. Having new content does not mean you get more traffic. You need high quality content to brings traffic

You may also have to work for months to build traffic on your site, you may have to work for years to build revenue on your site. THis looks very scary for a newbie.

I already have a website but it is a free website and I don't really like the fact because a lot of things may go wrong and it will be deleted. My dream website is the one which I owe myself and which will gather a lot of traffic for me.

I already have a website that I'm very proud of. I'm able to sell things that I make online to friends and whilst it doesn't yield much profit, it's still a good thing to do in my spare time. Aside from that though I'd like a website that focuses on actual social media / conversations.

I feel like websites nowadays need to have lots of social features that don't really focus on actual conversation and put a lot of importance on likes and other stats. It's nice when a website doesn't prioritise followers counts and that sort of thing.

If you want to create a multi vendor stores like alibaba and aliexpress, you might have to spend thousands of dollars in building website and spend thousands of dollars in advertising.

That's true. It is a lot of work to build a multi vendor website. The fees a website designer charges depends on the amount of work he has to do in building website.

Well, I don't really want to create a website, but I would probably create something like an article website or something like that, but it most likely will never happen because it is expensive since you need new articles every week, and it can be pricy.
