Yes, it is very annoying and obnoxious. Family also don't even bother knocking on the door most of the time either. We're able to look out the window though and see who it is.

I always tell people to call first before they come over to my house. If they do just show up, I will mention that they should have called first.

I hate it and so many of my friends are fond of doing that to me. This is why I don't invite anyone to my home lately. If they don't know your house, they won't come over unannounced.
