Do you typically create new years resolutions? Do you ever follow through with them? I'm not the best with resolutions, but I do try to give myself a word for the year. Perhaps it's my goal or it's a reminder.

Words like "Peace" "Calm" "Perseverance" and etc are words I've used in the past. I think this itself is setting a goal for the year and I can use that to help motivate me sometimes!

Do you think sharing your goals with those around you helps you, or is it personal and you're more likely to follow through if you keep it to yourself?

I don't usually create New Year's resolutions but I do create a bucket list of things I want to have accomplished before the end of the year. There's a notepad in my phone which I use to make the list and keep checking on them from time to time to keep track of the progress or basically remind myself of them. I see them as goals more than resolutions. Goals might or might not be achieved. But we should keep trying as much as we can. Whereas, resolutions are meant to be achieved no matter what, is what I believe. This is why I don't see the items in the list as "must do" but as "should do". I believe in working towards things being conscious about what would happen if we fail rather than forcing myself to get it done no matter what. It's just my way of seeing things. Not sure if I was able to convey properly. 😅

About sharing my goals with others, I am a 'Work in silence. Let your success make the noise!' kind of guy. :p
