Free VPN Vs. Paid VPN

Do you use a free VPN or paid VPN? Do you think free VPN actually works? I mean does a free VPN actually hide your IP? I use free VPN and I am forced to believe that it actually works. But I am nut so sure about it. By the way, what VPN do you use? I use Firefox browser extension for Hoxx VPN. I use the free version.

With how much I tend to use a VPN now, I couldn't warrant paying for one as I don't feel I use it enough to justify paying that price. I tend to use a free one now when I need to but if I felt I would use one more regularly, I would purchase one.

I sometimes use VPN but I have never used any paid VPN, since VPN can be used for free, I have no desire for paying for VPN services. Since the free VPN that I use does the job, I believe free VPN works as good as paid VPN

You're less likely to end up with total garbage with premium options but I find Proton a cut above a majority of mainstream VPNs, so. I guess it depends on what you're doing with it.

If I want privacy, I'll fire up the TOR browser and use onion routing.
Otherwise, I don't really worry about being having my IP tracked.

I use paid vpn normally Expressvpn for full device and iCloud rely for safari, sometimes I boot up tails and use tor though.

I've only used Proton's free VPN, but I don't really use a VPN that often. It works well for free, I recommend it if you don't have the funds to spend on a VPN.
